Gogglebox star discovers rude meaning behind Kylie Jenner’s new baby name
Kylie Jenner revealed on Saturday that she had changed her 11-month-old son’s name from Aire, after previously announcing that his name was Wolf at birth.
While the new name means ‘Lion of God’, unfortunately Aire also sounds like the Arabic slang term for penis.
This awkward coincidence was pointed out by Gogglebox Australia star Matty Fahd.
Kylie Jenner revealed on Saturday that she had renamed her 11-month-old son Aire, after previously announcing that his name was Wolf at birth.
“They named their son after a penis,” a shocked Matty declares in a TikTok video, which has since gone viral.
She joked that “all the Arabs” laughed when they saw the headlines about Kylie’s son’s new name, because Aire also “means ‘my c**k’ in Arabic.”
The 25-year-old cosmetics mogul and her ex-partner Travis Scott, 31, had originally named their son Wolf.
While the new name means ‘Lion of God’, Aire also sounds like the Arabic slang term for penis. This coincidence was pointed out by Matty Fahd of Gogglebox Australia.
Matty’s TikTok video has received 46,900 ‘love’ reactions since it was posted on Sunday.
“I wish he would stick with the name Wolf,” one fan replied.
Another commented: “Honestly, I’m Lebanese and I think it’s funny.”

However, some Arabic speakers noted that the name has a different pronunciation than the slang term for penis.
“I really like your content and understand it,” wrote one follower, “but it’s a boy you’re referring to and it’s pronounced ‘air’.”
Another fan who identified himself as Syrian said he had never used the slang term, so he wondered if Matty’s video was correct.
‘[Aire] it’s a completely different word for us,’ they told him.
