It comes after the star announced in May that she would be returning to Australia after years living in Los Angeles.

The former Batwoman will appear in 2:22 A Ghost Story, a new drama premiering later this month at Melbourne’s Her Majesty’s Theatre.

She said The Herald Sun that working on stage is a dream come true for a long time.

‘I am very excited. I’ve always wanted to do theatre, and this is my first play,” said the former VJ.

“I’m nervous because the stage is uncharted territory in terms of where my career has progressed so far,” Ruby continued.

“But I’m very happy and also very happy to come home to Melbourne.”

Ruby started her showbiz career as a model, DJ and TV presenter for MTV Australia.
