Ruby Rose has blasted her Hollywood colleagues for ‘joking’ about the Jeffrey Epstein case following the publication of court papers last week.
The Australian actress, 37, posted an impassioned post on Instagram Stories on Tuesday calling on Epstein’s conspirators to face real consequences.
‘My wish for 2024 is that the victims of that idiot Epstein actually get justice. Not just some solo woman doing time for a horrific mass sex crime against underage girls by old, disgusting, horrible men,” the Orange Is The New Black star wrote.
‘Men in power, men we unknowingly supported, held pockets of, or possibly even voted into positions of power to which they had no right. Positions that are the key to our own human rights and of course also to our bodies.’
Ruby further wrote that Epstein’s victims “risked their lives to come forward,” while “not one of those men has been held accountable.”

She then turned her attention to her fellow Hollywood elite and condemned them for making light of the scandal.
“Hollywood is already making jokes on social media, TV and at awards shows. We need more outrage on this issue and less lazy jokes,” she lamented.
“We as S**T definitely need humor and jokes to get through these days… but let’s do better,” Ruby concluded.

Her mention of “award show jokes” most likely refers to the Epstein joke that comedian Jim Gaffigan made at the Golden Globe Awards on Sunday night.
Gaffigan, who presented an award at the glitzy ceremony, walked onto the stage and said: “This is so exciting for me. The Golden Globes – I can’t even believe I’m in the entertainment industry. I can not do it.
“You know, it’s so unlikely. I’m from a small town in Indiana. I’m not a pedophile. I don’t know if that’s a new category here, but…” as the shocked celebrity audience laughed uncomfortably.

The identities of dozens of public figures linked to Epstein were revealed last week in court papers released in the US – the files are part of a defamation case brought against Epstein’s madam Ghislaine Maxwell, who is serving 20 years in prison for sex trafficking of minors girls for him.
High-profile people such as Prince Andrew, Bill Clinton, Donald Trump, Al Gore, Kevin Spacey and Stephen Hawking were all included in the evidence.
Actors Leonardo DiCaprio, Cate Blanchett, Cameron Diaz and Bruce Willis are there along with model Naomi Campbell – prompting DiCaprio, Diaz and Blanchett to deny any involvement with Epstein.

Some of the people mentioned were Epstein’s associates, friends or victims.
But the vast majority were cited as evidence by witnesses who said they had no ties to the pedophile at all – or had not seen them in his many homes.
“Cameron never met Jeffrey Epstein, nor was she ever in the same place as him or had any connection to him,” Diaz’s rep said in a statement.
They added: “Regardless of whether or not he mentioned her name or implied that he knew her.”
The files are part of a defamation lawsuit filed against Epstein’s madam Ghislaine Maxwell, who is serving 20 years in prison for trafficking underage girls to him.
She was sued by Virginia Roberts, now known as Virginia Giuffre, who claims she was forced to have sex with the Duke of York three times in 2001, when she was 17. The Duke strongly denies this.

One of Epstein’s alleged victims, Johanna Sjoberg, denied ever meeting Leo, Cate or Bruce Willis during her testimony.
She said that Epstein “would be on the phone a lot at that time, and one time he said, “Oh, that was Leonardo (DiCaprio), or that was Cate Blanchett, or Bruce Willis.” Those kind of things.’
She was later asked, “Have you met Cameron Diaz?” to which she replied, “No.”
The identities of more than 170 people will now be made public following an order from a US judge last month, with the first batch of documents released last week.
