Ruby Macarthur: Influencer Ruby Macarthur charged over filming six men ‘performing a sex act’ without their consent and sharing it
An influencer has been accused of recording and sharing a sex act with multiple men without their consent.
Ruby Campbell Macarthur, 24, has been charged with intentionally recording an intimate image and distributing it without their consent.
Macarthur, from Port Macquarie, NSW, has several media and horse training companies and thousands of online followers.
The crime is said to have taken place in the Port Macquarie region in October.

The influencer’s defense told the court she would apply and seek to have her case heard under mental health legislation
The intimate image allegedly recorded was a “sexual act involving five to six men”, police said in documents tendered to Port Macquarie Local Court. The Mid-North Coast News reported.
Macarthur appeared in court on Wednesday wearing a white suit, high heels and dark sunglasses.
She was told to remove her glasses as per court rules.
The defense suggested she apply and seek to have her case heard under mental health legislation.
However, Magistrate Georgina Darcy was unwilling to adjourn the case unless there was evidence of a plea, in case the bid to divert the case was unsuccessful.
The defense told the court that Macarthur plans to plead guilty in the event the application is rejected.
The case has been postponed to January 25.
