Ruben Amorim has warned there is trouble ahead for his Manchester United team, saying: ‘The storm will come.’
Amorim has recorded two wins and a draw in his three games as United’s new head coach going into Wednesday’s match against Arsenal in the Emirates.
But the Portuguese boss predicts United will face a difficult period as he tries to turn the club around mid-season.
“I would like to say several things, but I have to say it again: the storm will come,” Amorim said.
‘We are going to experience difficult moments and in some matches we will be discovered. I know that because I know my players, know football and follow football.
‘I know it’s very difficult to be the coach of Manchester United and say these things. We always want to win, no matter what happens, but we know we are at a different point when you compare it to Arsenal.’

United remain unbeaten since Amorim’s arrival and are trying to close the gap with the top four
Amorim admires the work Mikel Arteta has done but claimed he has less time to make an impact at United.
‘I think what he has done at Arsenal is fantastic. It has transformed the team,” he added.
‘But we have to recognize that Manchester United is a little bit different. All attention, always. So I know sometimes it’s not possible to have all that time.
“So we’ll try to do things a little bit faster, knowing that there’s massive attention and massive judgment here every day.”
