Royal active! Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden looks chic in all black while cross-country skiing

Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden looked chic in ski gear as she rode through the mountains in a national park this afternoon.

The royal, 45, was beaming behind sunglasses as she thrust out her poles for some cross-country skiing in Sonfjallet.

With her dark brown locks pinned back in a neat yet functional bun, she donned an all-black outfit as she worked her way through the powder.

In a look reminiscent of Tom Raider’s Lara Croft, she glided coolly across an alpine landscape with bright blue skies behind her.

The mother of two is known for her love of the slopes and skiing often with her family, including King Carl XVI Gustaf.

Her appearance on the mountains today comes after it was confirmed that she and her father will attend King Charles’s coronation next month.

No doubt she’ll be delighted to be back on the slopes in a climate she’s used to after touring Australia last month with her husband, Prince Daniel.

The royal couple kicked off their official visit to the country with trips to the Swedish Embassy in Canberra, the National Museum of Australia and a koala rehabilitation center in Namadgi National Park.

After their time in the Australian capital, the pair traveled to Sydney to continue their tour.

The royal couple’s official tour was aimed at “deepening bilateral relations,” the Swedish embassy said in a statement at the time.

Crown Princess Victoria last took to the slopes in January for a photo shoot with her father after he made some controversial statements about the succession to the Swedish throne.

King Carl XVI Gustaf, 76, said Victoria’s younger brother, Prince Carl Philip, had been “unfairly” deprived of his right to the throne because of new succession laws introduced in 1980, just after she was born.

Crown Princess Victoria was two years old when the new law was introduced, updating the natural order of succession by stating that the eldest child, regardless of sex, would inherit the throne.

Until then, her younger brother Carl Philip, who was seven months old, had been planned to become king, as the previous law favored male heirs.

However, he was stripped of his crown prince title under the new law and Victoria became the heir apparent.
