Royal insider claims Prince Harry and Meghan were cut from Duke of Westminster’s wedding because of his loyalty to ‘the King and the future King’
Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle were left out of the Duke of Westminster's wedding invitation list because his loyalty must be to the king and the future king, a royal insider has claimed.
The Sussexes have been snubbed by Hugh Grosvenor, who decided not to invite them to his wedding to Olivia Henson next year in a bid to avoid 'drama', it is claimed.
Despite the fact that he is believed to be the godfather of the Sussexes' son, Prince Archie, and one of Harry's oldest friends, it is claimed that the Duke has not invited him so it will not overshadow his big day.
A source says one of the reasons Harry and Meghan have been left out is because they have criticized the royal family and their way of life.
'You have to remember that these types of people are very traditional – and although they wouldn't be bothered at all by a drunk uncle or openly kissing on the dance floor, they don't like it when people criticize their way of life in public, and that's exactly what Harry and Meghan have been doing over the years,” the source who knows the Grosvenors told the Telegraph.

The source said the Duke of Westminster's loyalty should lie with the king and the future king
“And given who he is, Hugh's loyalty should always be with the current king and the future king.”
One of Britain's richest men, the 32-year-old billionaire aristocrat, proposed to Olivia Henson at his family seat, Eaton Hall in Cheshire.
They will get married in June at Chester Cathedral, the wedding of the year.
William and Kate, the King and Queen have all been invited, with the Prince of Wales even said to be in the running to become best man.
The Duke of Westminster originally planned to invite Harry and Meghan, but the aristocrat changed his mind, fearing their presence would overshadow the day, The Sunday Times reports.
Another serious consideration would be the feelings of Charles, Camilla, William and Kate, all of whom are likely to be there.

A friend of the pair told the newspaper: 'It's incredibly sad that it has come to this. Hugh is one of the few close friends of William and Harry who has maintained strong ties and lines of communication with both.
'He wishes they could put their heads together and patch things up, but realizes that's unlikely to happen before the wedding.
“He wanted to avoid anything overshadowing the day, especially for Olivia, and doesn't want any awkwardness.”
A spokesman for the duke previously said: 'We are not in a position to comment on the guest list.' Buckingham Palace also previously declined to comment.
