Royal fans are going wild over Kate Middleton’s ‘sober’ parenting moment with baby Prince George in a video that has surfaced.

The Prince and Princess of Wales took their nine-month-old son Prince George on their tour of Australia in April 2014.

During the three-week journey, the royal couple – the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge at the time – visited Sydney Zoo with their firstborn.

Earlier this week, the TikTok account Royal Watcher posted a video of Prince George totally enthralled by bilbies at the zoo.

The heartwarming 10-second video shows George bouncing up and down in delight as he meets the animal named after him while his mother supports him.

In a wink-and-you-will-miss-it moment, the royal mother quickly reaches forward and wipes away a bit of George’s dribble with her hand.

As the zookeeper enters the exhibit, Kate discreetly wipes her hand on the hem of her yellow dress.

The royal fan who runs the account wrote, “Kate wipes Prince George’s dribble on her dress.

“Such a down-to-earth mama!”

The clip has been viewed nearly 200,000 times since it was uploaded yesterday — and fans were over the moon with Kate’s relatable parenting moment.

One wrote: ‘Lol – down to earth!’

Another added, “WOW, she’s one of mine. I didn’t see the dribble!’

Meanwhile, others responded with heart emojis, referring to baby Prince George.

During the engagement, Prince William was totally fearless when the bilby came over to eat from his hands and George also reached out to pet the creature.

However, parents protectively withdrew him.

“He’s trying to reach for his ear,” Kate said.

“If he gets it, he’ll never let it go,” said William, kissing the top of his son’s head.

As the keeper tried to lure the bilby closer to George, Kate stepped in to stop him, thinking it was a bad idea.

“He’s got a pretty strong grip, actually,” she said.

Greater bilbies are rabbit-like creatures with large ears that pick up on the sounds of insects and have long noses for sniffing out seeds and bulbs.

They were once common in Australia’s grassy forests, but have been driven to extinction by predators such as foxes and cats and competition from rabbits, all introduced to the country by British settlers.
