“We’ve all been through it!” Royal fans go wild as Zara Tindall ‘struggles to stay awake at Coronation’ after partying with Mike in London until 2am the night before
Zara Tindall has sent royal fans wild as she ‘struggled to stay awake’ during the coronation after partying in London with husband Mike until 2am the night before.
On Friday night, Princess Anne’s 41-year-old daughter joined her mother, husband Mike, Prince Edward and Prince Andrew for a family meal at Oswald’s private club in Mayfair.
Then Zara and Mike, 44, continued their evening at the nearby Arts Club, leaving around 2am and were photographed walking the street in search of a taxi home.
Just over eight hours later, the mother-of-three looked remarkably fresh as she took her place at Westminster Abbey – sitting between her brother Peter Phillips, 45, and her husband.
However, images shared on social media after the ceremony show that the royal family appears to be struggling to stay awake as guests waited for King Charles and Queen Camilla to arrive.

Royal fan account @hrhzara posted a clip of Zara to TikTok showing the royal family resting their eyes before the coronation got underway.
The 40-second video begins with Zara staring off into the distance from the third row – where Prince Harry also sat.
The mother of three – who was dressed in a blue and white bespoke dress by designer Laura Green – then discreetly closed her eyes for a few seconds.
While viewers were convinced Zara had “fallen asleep,” the video ends with an animated mother striking up a conversation with Princess Eugenie in the front row.
The clip has racked up more than 75,000 likes since it was uploaded on Sunday – prompting fans to praise the “relatable” royal.
One wrote: ‘The aftermath of the 2am partying!! Got to love the Tindalls.’
“If you’re going out for a night but have a family affair in the morning,” added another. “We’ve all been through it.”
“Just giving her eyes a rest,” wrote a third. Meanwhile, a fourth quipped, “She was just checking the inside of her eyelids.”

“I love Zara and Mike so much,” said a fifth. “They’re so down to earth.”
Mike and Zara Tindall were photographed leaving Oswald’s in Mayfair at 11pm the night before the coronation.
A witness told MailOnline, “After leaving Oswald’s, they continued partying near the Arts Club, leaving at about 2am.”
The witness added that the Tindalls were then seen ‘stumbled in the street taking in all the coronation garlands before boarding a taxi home’.

It comes after the Royals united over a huge family dinner at Oswald’s.
The Tindalls attended along with Andrew and children Beatrice and Eugenie and their husbands, Anne and her husband, the Kents and the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh.
Oswald’s is owned by British entrepreneur Robin Birley, who also owns and runs 5 Hertford Street, where Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had their first date.
Oswald’s is the most exclusive of London’s private members’ clubs, with the Queen Consort and Boris Johnson and his wife Carrie among those who frequent the venue.
Named after owner Birley’s grandfather, it’s a club for both men and women – with a focus on wine.
