The Grand Ducal family of Luxembourg gathered yesterday to celebrate the baptism of Prince François.
Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume and his wife Hereditary Grand Duchess Stephanie celebrated their little one’s special occasion in the presence of their loved ones and friends at Fischbach Church.
In photos shared by the Grand Ducal Court on Instagramthe little prince, who was born on March 27, was the epitome of cuteness as he rested gently in his mother’s arms during the ceremony — and appeared to be sound asleep at times.
His big brother, Prince Charles, who just turned three years old, showed himself very cheeky and waved at the photos when he arrived at the church hand in hand with his father.
Loving grandparents, Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa were also in attendance, as was the recently married Princess Alexandra, who will be the dear Prince’s godmother.

Stephanie, a mother of two, donned an elegant pale pink dress for the christening and held her infant son in her arms throughout the ceremony.
Prince François’ father, Guillaume, could be seen smiling broadly next to his wife, with their firstborn, Prince Charles, not straying far from his parents.
The sassy prince, who put on an animated display when he arrived at the event, wore a cute culotte with a navy blue jacket and white shirt.
Photos shared on social media captured both sides of the family in front of the church after the beautiful event.
The Instagram announcement revealed that the event was attended by both the Grand Ducal family and Stephanie’s family, de de Lannoy.
Cardinal Jean-Claude Hollerich, Archbishop of Luxembourg, presided over the ceremony.
It was also revealed that newlywed Princess Alexandra will be Prince François’ godmother.
Doting grandparents, Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa were also in attendance
The princess, 31, looked stylish in a short form-fitting navy blue dress with a floral detail. Her husband, Nicolas Bagory, 33, also attended the event.
Meanwhile, Stephanie’s brother, Christian de Lannoy, will be François’ godfather.
In early May, the Grand Ducal family shared adorable photos of Prince Charles as he celebrated his third birthday.
Snaps shared with Instagram at the time showed the youngster smashing his birthday cake and feeding bits to his parents.

One particularly beautiful photo showed Stephanie cradling Prince François, nestled in a white cloth, as she gazed lovingly into the eyes of Prince Charles, holding a biscuit as his father Guillaume carried it on his shoulders.
They took a more traditional approach for another photo, with both parents sitting down and Prince Charles sitting on his father’s lap while Prince François slept in his mother’s arms.
There were also several individual photos of Prince Charles celebrating his birthday.
For the occasion, Charles was dressed in a wool sweater with jacquard details, a small crew-neck shirt and jeans.

In another set of snaps, the young royal proved he has quite a sweet tooth when he was pictured eating his royal cake — a fruity strawberry extravaganza — with these parents.
And if the tuft of cream on the corner of his mouth is any indication, the royal family quite liked his birthday cake.
One moment revealed that Charles shared the treat with his parents and even gave his father Guillaume pieces of cake.
