Royal Caribbean passenger filmed having violent outburst as cruise set sail dies hours after being detained
A Royal Caribbean passenger who was caught on camera having a violent meltdown died just hours after being detained by ship security.
Christifer Mikhail was trapped in a narrow corridor when the unnamed passenger entered a frenzied Hulk-like state, taking off his shirt and causing chaotic scenes just an hour after the ship departed.
Disturbing footage, captured by Mikhail as he stood just meters away, shows the out-of-control male passenger in a fit of rage, kicking a door and shouting profane language as he removed his clothes.
He allegedly threatened to kill Mikhail and others who witnessed his deranged behavior before chasing them down the ship’s narrow corridor.
“The gentleman who was drunk said he was going to kill us, and then he started chasing us down the hall,” Mikhail said VOS11.
While trying to flee the escalating incident, Mikhail recalled an employee running into a nearby towel closet to escape the perpetrator.
“The crew member I fled with was able to lock himself in one of the towel rooms,” he said.
‘I was a little scared. “I’m stuck in this hallway, everyone else was behind something.”

Moments before Mikhail caught the passenger violently kicking the door, he claims to have seen the man kick a crew member with his steel-toed boots and punch another, sending him back several meters.
‘He could have hit me and thrown me ten yards. The man he hit flew back a few meters,” Mikhail recalled.
Cruise ship security was able to detain the out-of-control passenger using pepper spray, zip ties and handcuffs.
The man was reportedly taken to one of the ship’s two prison cells shortly after his arrest.
However, the man seen on video kicking in the door died shortly after he was arrested, a family member told FOX11.
He leaves behind a severely autistic child and a fiancée, the family member explained to the outlet.
