Roy Keane slams Jamie Redknapp for hailing Tottenham after their draw against a ‘poor Man United team’… quipping that ‘even the bus driver got praise’

Roy Keane slammed Jamie Redknapp for praising Tottenham after their draw against Manchester United.

Ange Postecoglou’s side were held to a 2-2 draw at Old Trafford by the Red Devils after falling behind twice.

Despite dropping two points, Redknapp and Gary Neville both praised the north London side for their improvement this season, pointing out their injury problems in the process.

Keane admitted that Tottenham were the better team that day, but reminded his fellow pundits that they had not won the match.

He told Sky Sports: ‘Everyone praises Tottenham but it was a draw, they didn’t win. They were missing big players, but so were Man United. If you’re a large team, you have to deal with these things.

‘They were the better team, but it was a draw. The staff got praised, the bus driver got praised, everyone got praised. It ended 2-2, relax everyone.’

Redknapp then claimed that Postecoglou has taken Tottenham further than Erik ten Hag did at United, but Keane disagreed.

‘It is clear that United’s problems are deeper than those of Spurs. You have no idea what you are going to get from United,” he said.

Neville went on to suggest Tottenham would finish in the top three if they continue their improvement, but Keane hit back, saying: ‘Top three? Dream big, guys.

‘The manager obviously deserves praise. They were confident and disappointed with a draw. They have to do everything they can to reach the top four and win a trophy. But they didn’t really show the belief to win a match. They settled for a draw.’
