Roy recounted how he turned the car around and drove his now-wife home after she refused to go to the movies or have a drink with him.

The couple initially met at a Nottingham nightclub before the soccer pundit, 51, asked her out on a date together for the first time.
Speaking on Irish talk show The Tommy Tiernan Show on Saturday, he said: “We probably just went on one really proper date, which wasn’t a good one, really.”
He admitted: ‘It was very bad. We met, I picked her up and met her. [before] when I had a few drinks, so the conversation was a bit different.

‘And she said ‘No, I went last night with my friends.’ So I said, ‘Do you want to go have a drink?’ She said no’.
“I literally drove back to the house, all of this in 10 or 15 minutes. She said, ‘What are you doing?’ I said, ‘Well, you don’t want to go for a drink, you don’t want to go to the movies, what else can we do?’
Nightmare! Roy recounted how he turned the car around and drove his now-wife home after she refused to go to the movies or have a drink with him.
‘She’s out [of the car] and I said, ‘Maybe we’ll see each other next week,’ and she said, ‘I don’t think so,’ and slammed the door. That was my first date.
Despite the disastrous date, the couple married in 1997 in a low-key ceremony, before welcoming four children.
Keane and Theresa have five children together, Shannon, Caragh, Aidan, Leah and Alanna.
Speaking previously of their very private wedding, he said: “It was a private occasion, with only fifteen members of the immediate family in attendance.”
Writing in his book, Roy Keane: The Second Half, he said: “Theresa’s father Nick gave her away, my sister Hilary acted as bridesmaid, my brother Johnson was my best man, with my other brothers Denis and Pat as groomsmen. wedding.
‘It was a wonderful day, marking by far the happiest development of my life.’
