Roxy Jacenko squashes divorce rumours and reveals real reason she is selling her $14m family home

Roxy Jacenko has quelled the growing speculation that she and her husband Oliver Curtis are getting a divorce.

The PR queen, 37, made the rumor mill spin when she announced she was selling her $14 million Vaucluse mansion.

She shares two children – Pixie, 11, and Hunter, eight – with husband Oliver, 43, but they have not lived together as a family for several years as he works between Tasmania and Singapore, while Roxy lives in Sydney with their children.

Despite their unconventional setup, Sweaty Betty’s PR founder insists she’s not divorcing Oliver and has revealed that the real reason they’re selling their childhood home is because it’s too big.

“Now that Oli lives between Singapore and Tasmania for work, such a big house for three people is not necessary. Given our lifestyle, now is the time to be in an apartment,” she shared news.com.au.

“We just don’t use all the incredible facilities it has – a swimming pool, cinema, cellar, glamorous room, full gym with Technogym equipment and an infrared sauna.”

Roxy told the publication that rumors of her and Oliver breaking up have been going on for five years, but they are “all good.”

But the mother-of-two recently told the Wentworth courier they only see each other once a month, but she wouldn’t divorce him because he would take half of her fortune.

The public relations queen, 37, started the rumor mill when she announced she was selling her $14 million Vaucluse mansion

“We’re not separating or divorcing — what, is he taking 50 percent? I’m not that stupid,’ she said.

The couple bought their posh Vaucluse home in 2018 for $6.5 million, and they’re looking to more than double that with a $14 million price list.

They extensively renovated the pad, adding a gym, hair salon, children’s playroom, and a custom-made storage area for Roxy’s $1 million collection of Hermès Birkin bags.

The house also features a beautiful marble kitchen, a well-stocked basement, an extraordinary master bedroom and a swimming pool.

Roxy and Oli also own a home in Tasmania, where he has been for work with his cousin Tim Rosenfield for the past few years.

The latest rumors come after Roxy wound down several of her businesses, most notably her PR agency Sweaty Betty, which she founded nearly two decades ago.

In addition to closing her flagship PR firm, she sold her candle company XRJCelebrations and downsized the Pixie’s Pix toy store.

She still runs the influencer talent agency Ministry of Talent.

Roxy and Oli have weathered several storms in their marriage over the years.

In 2016, Roxy was diagnosed with breast cancer just three weeks after her husband was jailed for insider trading.

Curtis was found guilty and sentenced to two years in prison, but was released after 12 months for good behavior.

In 2017, while Curtis was behind bars at Cooma Correctional Center, Roxy had an affair with her ex-boyfriend Nabil Gazal.

She later said the affair “wasn’t her fault” because Gazal, a millionaire property developer she had previously dated in the late 2000s, “haunted her” at a time when she was vulnerable.

The relationship came to light in late April 2017 when Daily Mail Australia published footage of them kissing passionately in Gazal’s Sydney apartment.

“Where do people come up with such things? They’re obsessed with that story,” said the couple, who tied the knot in 2012 at a lavish harborside wedding.

At the time of the appointment, Curtis’ release date was only eight weeks away.

Curtis found out about his wife’s infidelity while he was still in prison.

Sources later claimed that he would have decided to forgive Roxy for her rashness if she had forgiven him for the past criminal behavior that led to his conviction.

Last year, as they celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary, Curtis shared a tribute to his wife, saying he was glad they stayed together despite the “odds against them.”
