Roxy Jacenko confirms she is re-opening her PR firm Sweaty Betty two years after quitting Sydney during mid-life crisis: ‘I’m not cut out for the housewife life’
Roxy Jacenko has confirmed her return to publicity and Sydney, just two years after stepping down as director of Sweaty Betty and moving to Singapore with her family.
“I’m going back to Sweaty Betty PR and opening the doors again to a few select clients,” Roxy told Ny Breaking Australia.
“It’s very satisfying to learn to step back and enjoy life away from work, but also terribly boring!” Roxy told Ny Breaking Australia.
“I’m not cut out for life as a housewife!”
On Tuesday afternoon, the 44-year-old ‘PR Queen’ shared the news with her followers on Instagram, also dropping a not-so-cryptic hint as to what her next move is.
In the photo, Roxy’s hand can be seen on the steering wheel of her car, while her WhatsApp messages are visible on her open laptop.
‘November 2022 I decided to quit PR. Must have been a midlife crisis… lol today I’m back and ohhhhh it’s just like old times… ‘, she captioned the post.

Roxy left for Singapore with her family in 2023, determined never to return to Sydney.
“I have no plans to come back. I’m sorry to say,” she told Ny Breaking Australia earlier this year.
“I love Australia. Don’t get me wrong. It’s so nice to look out over the ocean and have that opportunity. But I love being so close to all the different places.”
‘Since I’ve been in Singapore I’ve travelled to Thailand, Vietnam and India. We’re so far away from everything in Australia. Suddenly my life has become a lot more colourful. I can explore and do different things.’
In April, the PR guru announced that her latest venture will be selling a line of “LipMount” iPhone cases.
The trendy phone cases have a space on the back to safely store your favorite lip gloss.

The new product from the former owner of Sweaty Betty, the 270x, is sold online at phone accessory store Fone King for $24.99.
“I wanted to do something that wasn’t so Roxy and create a range of fashion accessories for your phone that you can change out as you need to,” she explained to news.com.au.
“I’ve always been that person, see it, do it! I love following trends and have had so much success,” she added.
The lip gloss phone case trend really took off this year when It Girl Hailey Bieber began advertising iPhone cases featuring her beauty brand and mirror selfies.
Roxy said she was inspired to create the product after seeing Hailey Bieber’s success and the Rhode cases not being available in Australia.
“It was a great idea to create this for a girl who is always on the go, and at an affordable price point,” she told the publication.
