A car formerly owned and driven by big screen star Rowan Atkinson is up for auction this weekend.
While Mr Bean may be known for his green Mini, Atkinson is a self-confessed petrolhead who loves fast sports cars and hopes to monetize his 1990s rally replica Lancia Delta.
The artist’s 1993 Lancia HF Integrale Evo II hot hatch is estimated to fetch £75,000 at Silverstone Auctions’ classic car sale in Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire, on Saturday.
The car had covered just over 54,000 miles when purchased by Atkinson in May 2021 and has only driven a few thousand since then.

The TV personality has spent thousands of dollars on engine maintenance over the years. Over the past two years, the petrolhead has spent £8,000 on major repairs and a further £1,800 on a refinish.
Commenting on the car’s availability this weekend, a spokesman for Silverstone Auctions said: “It has enjoyed many happy hours in the car, although the total mileage still remains below 90,000 km (56,000 miles), and the history file confirms the recent money well. spent to keep the little Lancia in such fantastic condition.’
And it’s not just the Mr Bean actor’s car being offered to the highest bidder at the Warwickshire auction.
Inspector Clouseau actor Peter Seller’s 1966 Lotus Elan S3-SE, which was delivered to his Haymarket in the production year, is also going under the hammer – as This is Money exclusively reported last month.
According to Silverstone Auctions, it was driven by him until 1969 with wife Britt Ekland in the passenger seat.
The rare model, part of the Piddington collection, is being offered with a target price of between £80,000 and £120,000.
The car has only had four owners and the very first was the Pink Panther star who bought the vehicle on June 22, 1966.
