NORTH ATTLEBORO, Mass. — This is no nonsense: Emergency workers in a Massachusetts town had to spontaneously round up eight bulls on Sunday when they escaped from a rodeo being held in a shopping mall parking lot.
Video posted online captured the moment the bulls escaped from the North Attleboro rodeo. The animals charged through the crowded parking lot, knocked over fences, crashed into a tent and rumbled toward busy U.S. Highway 1, eventually heading into a nearby wooded area for a brief moment of freedom. No one was injured in the escape.
The North Attleboro Fire Department warned: These rodeo bulls were not joking.
“Community members should exercise extreme caution and avoid going near bulls,” the agency said.
Seven of the eight were trapped by late Sunday afternoon, but one of them was still on the run, fire officials said. The Festival Rodeo at Emerald Square Mall was closed, officials said.
An investigation is underway to determine how the bulls managed to escape.
