Rose Byrne turned heads on Saturday as she stepped out at the 76th Directors Guild of America Awards in Beverly Hills.

The Australian actress, 44, was thrilled to appear at the star-studded event and was seen bursting with laughter before heading to the carpet.

The star adjusted the low-cut bust of her stunning black dress and couldn’t wipe the smile off her face.

Her dazzling gown featured a sequined bust and a column skirt that fell to her ankles, revealing a pair of black strappy heels.

She dressed up with a pair of gold rings and earrings, and drew attention to her age-defying face with peach blush, smokey eyeshadow and pink lipstick.

The Neighbors actress lives in Brooklyn with her partner Bobby Cannavale and their two sons, Rocco and Rafael.

However, many American viewers were left confused by the Australian star’s accent on the show.

In the comedy, in which she co-stars with Seth Rogan, Rose uses her natural accent, unlike most of her roles where she starred as an American character.

After the series premiered in May, scores of viewers in the United States took to Twitter to share their confusion over the way the actress speaks.

‘I’m so thrown off by Rose Byrne’s accent. Why does it keep changing mid-sentence?’ someone asked.

She completed her extravagant look by curling her dark locks and letting them tumble around her shoulders before styling side-swept bangs over her face.
