Rose Bay Sydney: Young woman’s body found inside a unit as a man, 32, is arrested

The body of a young woman has been found dead in a unit in Sydney’s eastern suburbs.

Emergency services were called to the unit on Hardy Street in Rose Bay, where police discovered the woman’s body about 9.20am.

Despite the work of paramedics, she could not be revived.

NSW Police subsequently arrested a 32-year-old man at the location.

He was wanted on an outstanding warrant but has not been charged with a criminal offense and is assisting police with their investigation.

“A crime scene has been established and an investigation has begun into the circumstances surrounding the incident,” a police statement said.

“A post-mortem examination will be carried out to determine the woman’s cause of death.”
