The character Ahsoka has long been set in the Star Wars universe, first appearing in the animated film Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008), followed by several animated TV shows.

All that came before Rosario first stepped into the role for the second season of the hit series The Mandalorian (2020), created by Jon Favreau.

“I remember meeting our Princess Leia, our Carrie Fisher, at a con in Chicago, and seeing how the fans were with her — and you know, I had done some readings with Mark Hamill,” the New York native shared City while on stage, according to WPVI TV.

“To be able to use the force, and be in this space where I can legitimately and officially say, ‘May the force be with you,’ I remember watching the episode of The Mandalorian with my mother and say at the end, and my mom literally liked it, this slow head turn from the screen to my face, and it looked like she had tears in her eyes,” she explained.

Rosario then shared more stories about her long relationship with Star Wars as a fan and as an artist.

“I literally just took a picture of my grandson next to an R2-D2 and a C-3PO with that whole sticker thing that was on this whole mural and said, ‘The force is strong on this one.’ And I thought, “It’s come full circle, guys! It’s beautiful.”

The actress also played the role of fearless nurse Claire Temple in several Marvel TV series, including Daredevil (2015-2016), Jessica Jones (2015), Luke Cage (2016-2018), Iron Fist (2017) and The Defenders ( 2017).
