Rory McIlroy laughs about the Tom Brady roast on the range at Wells Fargo as golf star reenacts Nikki Glaser’s brutal Rob Gronkowski joke
Rory McIlroy was one of many who enjoyed the Tom Brady roast on Sunday night.
While practicing at the shooting range at the Wells Fargo Championship this week, McIlroy was heard laughing at the live Netflix special — in which Brady and other high-profile figures took turns roasting each other — and reenacting one of the evening’s jokes.
In a video shared by the PGA Tour on
“They were making fun of Brady and the crypto stuff because he lost like $30 million or whatever,” he says.
“And they said something like, “even Gronk knew crypto was fraud… Gronk knows it’s not real money!”

Glaser’s hilarious joke – which mocked Gronkowski’s intelligence – tickled McIlroy before he continued with his distance session.
While other famous faces were also ridiculed on stage and in the audience, it was of course Brady who took center stage at the Netflix event, which saw the legendary ex-Patriots quarterback mocked for his divorce from ex-wife Gisele Bundchen.
Glaser even joked about Bundchen, whom Brady split from in 2022 after 13 years of marriage, and her subsequent relationship with jiu-jitsu trainer Joaquim Valente.
“Tom, the only thing dumber than you saying yes to this piece of meat was when you said, ‘Hey honey, you should try jiu-jitsu,'” she said.
At another point she added, “You have seven rings… well, eight now that Gisele has given hers back.”
After the roast, Glaser revealed that she had an awkward encounter with Brady in the hallway of Kia Forum.
“Brady didn’t go to the afterparty. He was out of there because I think he’s busy… but yeah, he didn’t go,” she said on the Pat McAfee show.

“He was on his way out, right? I ran into him in the hallway and said, ”Hey, thanks for having me again.” We didn’t meet before the show. I only met him after I finished my set and gave him a hug and said ”thank you” after telling him horrible things about himself.
‘But then I bumped into him in the hallway and I thought, ‘Thank you so much. Thank you for having me!” And very quickly he says: ”You did a great job, good luck with everything.”
“That’s like saying, ‘I’ll never see you again and don’t even try to contact me.’ Have a good life.”
