Rory McIlroy ‘done with trying to change people’s minds’ on LIV Golf – video

Rory McIlroy has ‘changed his tune’ and now believes there should be no punishment for LIV rebels who want to return to play on traditional golf tours. After taking an initially tough stance against the LIV Golf Series, McIlroy said: “I’ve come to the realization that I’m not here to change people’s minds, I’m here to just try, especially when I was on administrative level. I try to give them a full picture of where things are and hopefully where things are going. They can do whatever they want with that information. But ultimately, I think I’m done trying to change people’s minds and make them see things a certain way.” There is currently a deal in the works, which McIlroy was strongly in favor of. “The sooner we can all get back together and start playing and get the strongest fields possible, I think that’s great for golf,” he said.
