‘Happy Birthday to my beautiful Gemini girls’: Earlier this week, Ronnie and his wife shared adorable photos with their twin daughters to mark their 7th birthday

Earlier this week, Ronnie and his wife Sally shared adorable photos with their twin daughters on the occasion of their 7th birthday.

The veteran Rolling Stones guitarist looked every inch the doting dad as he smiled next to Gracie and Alice.

The twins were all smiles as they donned matching yellow T-shirts and colorful party hats as they blew out their candles.

He also shared a throwback photo of the twins as babies, with the caption, “Happy Birthday to my beautiful Gemini girls, Gracie Jane and Alice Rose – turning 7 years old today!”

Meanwhile, Sally wrote, “My heart could burst! Happy 7th Birthday Alice & Gracie ~ we love you so much ❤️❤️ what an adventure so far xxx Thanks for all your lovely messages to the girls.’

Ronnie married Sally, the owner of a theater production company, in December 2012 before announcing in December that they would be having twins.

Sally has previously spoken about the attraction she felt for Ronnie and how their romance works out so well.

She told The Telegraph: ‘He’s completely on my level. He is a very nice and caring person. Oh God, don’t use the word “nice”, it’s so boring. He is very funny, kind and affectionate and hospitable.’

She discussed their age difference and said, ‘Um, well, I know (the age difference) is there. And I wish it wasn’t, but it is. I think I had to say, “I can’t do this because of my age.”

“Or I just had to let it go and take everything with me. At no point years ago did I say to myself, “I think I’m dating someone twice my age,” but that’s what happened.’

Ronnie has been through a few romantic roller coasters of his own, but his marriage to Sally is remarkably calm and settled.

The guitarist quit smoking after treatment for lung cancer in 2017 and has been sober since 2010.

Wood has four other children – Jesse, 46, with first wife Krissy Findlay, and 44-year-old Leah and Tyrone, 39, with ex-wife Jo. He also adopted Jo’s son Jamie, 48.
