Ron DeSantis tears into Biden for ‘stumbling around the world stage’ and says the President is ‘projecting weakness’ after latest gaffes in Vietnam

White House hopeful Ron DeSantis blasted Joe Biden for his bizarre antics on the world stage, claiming the 80-year-old world leader was “projecting weakness” as he spoke in Vietnam on Monday.

DeSantis, the 44-year-old current governor of Florida, said this Fox news’ Laura Ingraham said on her show on Monday that he believed “enemies” of the US have already begun to take advantage of Biden’s vulnerability.

“This is a man who stumbles across the world stage. He is projecting weakness,” said DeSantis, whose voting numbers have declined since the start of the year, according to data collected by FiveThirtyEight.

‘I think our enemies have already taken advantage of that. It will likely lead to even more problems around the world. And so, you know, it’s sad, but I think it’s clear that he’s been struggling for a while.”

The claims came shortly after Biden was heard making a series of bizarre comments during a meeting with political leaders in Hanoi, Vietnam.

Biden held a news conference in Hanoi, Vietnam, on Sunday evening after spending two days in India for the G20 leaders’ summit. At the presser, he spoke to reporters about a John Wayne movie that featured the ‘Indians’ to make a point about climate change

Biden took the handheld microphone and at one point left the stage to address a reporter standing at one end of the room.

He opened with a “good morning Vietnam” joke, referencing the 1987 comedy starring Robin Williams.

Biden told a long story about the John Wayne movie, talking about cowboys and “Indians,” and then went back to a story about the phrase “lying dog-faced pony soldiers” that he used then and has used before.

In another bizarre moment, Biden showed a show of staying power by commenting on his ’round the world in five days’ – but ended his press conference by announcing: ‘I’ll tell you what, I don’t know about you , but I’m going to bed.’

Biden was occasionally seen wandering around the stage, microphone in hand, and also delivered his signature whisper.

While calling on reporters at a news conference, the president paused and claimed he was “just following orders” from unspecified individuals before his press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre cut the event short, then returned to briefly address reporters as jazz music played . through a sound system.

DeSantis claimed that Biden may not be calling the shots in the Oval Office, given his limited public appearances.

He suggested that former President Obama and former Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett may have influence over the aging president.

On Monday, DeSantis called on Biden to release information about the planning and financing of the September 11 terrorist attacks.

“We as a nation still owe full transparency and accountability to these grieving families. Yet too many politicians have broken previous promises made to them, and that is completely unacceptable,” Florida’s governor said in a statement.

Lawmakers and victims’ families have been pushing for decades for the government to provide transparency about the links they have found between the Saudi government and the September 11 hijackers.

DeSantis joined that call on Monday, saying, “The pain of September 11 continues for these families and for all of us who remember that day, and its history must be taught to generations to come.”

“Our work is not finished until we have fully uncovered all the details surrounding the attacks and those responsible have been held accountable. I will not rest until both are fully accomplished. We must never forget it,” he added.

DeSantis is running on a heavily conservative platform.

Earlier this year, he signed a strict anti-abortion law in Florida that banned the procedure after just six weeks.

He has also signed a number of bills that severely restrict Florida educators from discussing “woke” issues and topics.

The Republican has also piggybacked on one of former President Donald Trump’s key policies, a wall on the US border with Mexico.
