Ron DeSantis says he will start ‘SLITTING THROATS’ on his first day in office to try to get ‘off the deep state’ in DC
A Ron DeSantis administration would begin with bureaucratic carnage, the Florida governor promised — in language that left some would-be supporters sick.
DeSantis, who is running against former President Donald Trump in the polls, waved the tough talk in his stupid speech during a trip to New Hampshire Sunday.
“We are going to have all those deep state people. You know, we’re going to start cutting throats on day one,” he said.
That came after a pledge to crack down on Mexican drug cartels. “At the border they will be shot,” he said, according to New Hampshire’s NPR affiliate .
DeSantis is used to unleashing harsh rhetoric while battling “wake” politics.
Florida Governor and Republican US presidential nominee Ron DeSantis said he would ‘slit throat on day one’ as he vowed to fight the ‘deep state’
“We are going to make sure that the awakened agenda ends up in the dustbin of history,” he said.
At least one participant was put off by the language.
“If I was in charge of his PR, I would have said, ‘Don’t use that terminology,'” said Norm Olsen, who told the station he was a “Sununu Republican” who scouts candidates challenging Trump.
DailyMail.com reached out to DeSantis’ camp for comment and explanation.
Trump himself has regularly railed against what he calls the “deep state” at his rallies and on social media. He has sworn to his supporters to be “your retaliation.”
Now facing his third criminal indictment, Trump vowed last month to go after the criminal justice system. ‘I will appoint a real special “prosecutor” to go after the most corrupt president in US history. Joe Biden, the entire Biden crime family, and everyone else involved in the destruction of our elections, borders, and the country itself!” Trump posted.
Former President Donald Trump was due to appear in federal court for a hearing following his third indictment
The Trump camp continues to try to paint DeSantis as clumsy and exploit campaign missteps. Days ago, he posted a meme of DeSantis wiping his nose in slow motion. The clip featured the song “One of These Things is Not Like the Other.”
That came after an unflattering Daily Beast story that reported that DeSantis allegedly ate with his fingers.
Two Trump advisers, campaign chairman Susie Wiles and Chris LaCivita, released a memo Thursday to “interested parties” mocking DeSantis as a robot and discussing his tendency to pronounce his name in two different ways in public.
That came on a day Trump was due to appear in federal court for a quadruple charge of charges related to his attempt to overturn the 2020 election.
Fittingly, in the past week, the word reboot followed by Ron DeSantis (or is it DEE-SAN Tas?) has appeared together a whopping a dozen times, across the country. However, it seems that this particular robot is no longer turning on,” they wrote.
The memo then pounced on him for skewed polls in early states, pointing out missteps and claiming that “Desantis’s campaign is marred by idiocy.”
