Romola Garai opted for a quirky white suit as she attended the world premiere of Scoop at The Curzon in Mayfair, London, on Wednesday evening.

The actress, 41, plays Newsnight’s former editor Esme Wren in the upcoming Netflix drama, which is released on April 5.

The Vigil star looked incredible as she graced the star-studded red carpet in a structured off-white two-piece suit.

Her suit was decorated with light blue bows on the sleeves and an unusual split hem on the fitted trousers.

The blonde beauty upped the ante with a pop of red lipstick and a sleek ’50s hairstyle.

Romola was joined by her co-stars Billie Piper, Gillian Anderson and Keeley Hawes on the evening as they celebrated the launch of the drama, which is a replay of Prince Andrew’s car crash Newsnight.

Gillian has been hailed as ‘amazing’ in her upcoming role as Emily Maitlis after taking over as Newsnight presenter in the new Prince Andrew film.

One person dubbed Gillian the ‘female Michael Sheen’ after seeing her in action as Maitlis, claiming ‘she could literally turn into anyone’.

The upcoming film recreates the chilling 2019 interview between Emily and the disgraced royal family in painstaking detail.

The Netflix drama details the story behind the interview with the Duke of York, played by Rufus Sewell, 56, and also features an almost unrecognizable Billie in a blonde wig and high heels.

The actress stars as Sam McAlister, the Newsnight producer who secured Prince Andrew’s infamous interview with Maitlis.

Based on the book Scoops by Sam McAlister, the film (according to the trailer) shows the excitement behind booking the royal for the interview, as well as the tension among the cast during the interview.

The film will be released on Netflix in the spring and will offer a behind-the-scenes look at how the interview came together and how the events surrounding it unfolded in tribute to the work of the four women responsible.

It is based on Scoops by Sam McAlister, who is also known as the ‘Booker extraordinaire’ on Newsnight after successfully negotiating and securing the interview in which the Duke was questioned about his friendship with late convicted sex offender Jeffery Epstein.

Ms Maitlis discussed Virginia Giuffre’s claims that she was forced to have sex with Andrew three times when she was 17 on Epstein’s orders.

The prince strongly denied the claims during the interview.
