Rolling Stone Australia is a hit with fans as a new survey reveals readers are turning to the mastheads of local magazines
Rolling Stone seems to be a huge hit with the fans.
The print edition of the Australian and New Zealand masthead has grown to an average readership of 224,000, according to a number. media week.
According to the publication, that represents an increase of 17 percent for the famous music and pop culture magazine in the last 12 months.
The figures were revealed in Roy Morgan’s latest market research report on Australian magazine readership.
At a time when the digital domain appears to be dominant, the report’s figures suggest Australians remain captivated by print magazines.

Vance Joy Leads This Year’s Rolling Stone Australia Awards Nominees
Roy Morgan’s survey reports that 11.3 million Australians aged 14 and over read print magazines, an increase of 1.7 per cent over the last 12 months.
According to the survey, magazine categories that have seen an increase in readership include titles covering Food & Entertainment, Home & Garden, and Women’s Fashion.
A recent issue of Rolling Stone AU/NZ that had a huge impact with readers featured the iconic children’s group The Wiggles, which was their first cover story for the magazine.
Members Tsehay Hawkins, Anthony Field, Lachy Gillespie and Simon Pryce swapped out their signature boxer shorts for cheeky ensembles to grace the September issue.

New Yellow Wiggle Tsehay Hawkins also made history by being the youngest person at 16 to appear on a local cover.
The news comes after the nominees for this year’s Rolling Stone Australia Awards were announced last month.
Vance Joy leads the pack with three nominations, including Best Single for his song Clarity and Best Album for In Our Own Sweet Time.
The Wiggles, Kylie Minogue and Amy Shark have also been nominated for the awards, with the ceremony scheduled for April 4 in Sydney.
Spacey Jane (pictured) are nominated for Best Single and Best Album
