This is the horrific moment an 88-year-old dog walker was dragged to her death after a roller skater was caught on her leash.
Shocking CCTV footage shown to a judge in Moscow shows two elderly women strolling through a city park while walking their dogs – one of which was walking on a long leash.
Suddenly, roller skater Igor Berin, 56, races past the women and gets stuck in the lead, pulling one of the pensioners off her feet and dragging her down a path.
Prosecutors told the court the victim suffered serious head injuries when she hit the paved path and later died in hospital.
Berin walked free from a Russian court after pleading guilty to causing death by negligence during a hearing on November 18.

Prosecutors said that although Berin had stopped after hitting the victim in the crash six months ago, he later continued driving and told police he did not realize she was seriously injured.

“She did not regain consciousness for three weeks and died on June 15.”
