Roger Stone denies 'reckless' report claiming he spoke to an NYPD officer about the murders of Democrats Eric Swalwell and Jerry Nadler weeks before the 2020 election
Donald Trump's former adviser Roger Stone has released a “false, irresponsible and reckless” report claiming he spoke to an agent ahead of the 2020 election to investigate the assassination of House Democrats Jerry Nadler and Eric Swalwell to plan.
Audio is said to have been obtained by Mediaitewhile not explicitly published by the website, is said to include details of Stone making threatening comments about the two lawmakers during a recorded conversation at a Florida cafe.
The site claims that Stone pushed for action to be taken, implying that harm had to be done to one or both.
But in a statement to DailyMail.com, Stone said such talk is untrue.
“If there is such an audio, why don't they post it? Why don't they send it to me? If there is such an audio, it must have been illegally obtained and if there is such an audio, it must be an AI-generated fraud as I never said any of the words attributed to me,” Stone said, while challenging Mediaite to provide evidence. .
Donald Trump's former adviser Roger Stone says a conversation between himself and NYPD Officer Sal Greco in which he allegedly made threatening comments about House Democrats is fake
Stone has said there is no truth in a conversation that he planned to kill House Democrats Eric Swalwell (left) and Jerry Nadler (right). Both served on the House Judiciary Committee
In the alleged recording, Stone says, “It's time to do it. Let's go find Swalwell. It's time to do it. Then we'll see how brave the rest are. It's time to do it,” Stone reportedly said.
“It's either Nadler or Swalwell has to die before the election. They have to understand the message. Let's go find Swalwell and get this over with. I just won't tolerate this shit anymore,” Stone reportedly said in the obtained audio.
The officer Stone allegedly spoke to at Caffe Europa in Fort Lauderdale was named Sal Greco. a former one NYPD officer who provided side security for Stone.
The publication's lack of details and political slant left Stone enraged.
“What was Officer Greco's response to my alleged comments? Gee, they don't say that. From an anonymous source? Certainly. It's fraud. I'm clickbait,” Stone said.
“Why would anyone believe Mediate, a left-wing rag with a long history of falsely defaming me? Why would anyone believe their unproven claim about where and when this alleged conversation took place or who was present, regardless of the content? Three years ago? It is false, irresponsible and reckless,” he said.

Both Nadler and Swalwell served on the House Judiciary Committee, but it was Nadler who announced an investigation into then-President Donald Trump's decision to commute Stone's sentence after he was convicted in the Mueller investigation.
Stone was convicted of obstruction, witness tampering and lying to Congress in the Mueller investigation and sentenced to nine years in prison.
But Trump's Justice Department intervened by commuting Stone's sentence just days before he was due to report to prison.
Stone ultimately served no time, as after receiving his conviction, Trump commuted his sentence and subsequently pardoned Stone.
Stone's animosity toward Nadler and Swalwell was rooted in years of conflict, with Stone expressing a desire to help Trump regain office to stop such investigations into him.
“A jury has found Roger Stone guilty,” Nadler wrote on Twitter in July 2020. “By commuting his sentence, President Trump has infected our justice system with partisanship and cronyism and attacked the rule of law. @House Judiciary will aggressively investigate this blatant corruption.”

In response to the recent comments about Swalwell and Nadler, Stone dismissed them as “complete nonsense” and alleged AI manipulation without providing specific details.
Greco has not denied the comments, but has downplayed their significance, saying: “I don't think your reader is interested in age-old political fodder.”
Greco was fired by the NYPD in August 2022 due to his association with Stone.
A lawsuit accused the former officer of “wrongfully and knowingly associating with Roger Jason Stone, Jr., and reasonably believing that he was involved in, likely to be involved in, or involved in criminal activity.”
He also appeared to have been present during the January 6 riot at the US Capitol.
