‘Keep it in your pants!’: Father of eight Rod Stewart warns son Alistair, 16, not to follow in his footsteps by becoming a young parent after the rocker welcomed his first child at 17
Sir Rod Stewart has revealed that he has warned his son, 16-year-old son Alistair, not to follow in his footsteps by becoming a teen parent.
The rocker, 77, who welcomed daughter Sarah Steeter at the tender age of 17, admitted telling the teen: ‘Keep it in your pants. No babies.’
The father-of-eight made the revelation on Australian talk show The Project, admitting that his “handsome” son probably didn’t follow his sage advice.

Rod, who shares the child with his wife Penny Lancaster, 51, said: “My son looks great and I’ve told him, ‘Keep it in your pants.’ No babies’.
Before adding: ‘I think he follow my advice? No.’
Alistair is a model and recently signed a deal to campaign with luxury clothing label Palm Angels.

The Maggie May singer further revealed that he was having “the time of his life” as a parent, despite his advice on the subject.
“I have eight loving children who are not ashamed to be seen with me. In fact, it’s the opposite. They say, “Daddy, do you want to go out with us tonight?”
He continued, “My sons borrow my clothes. I didn’t do that with my father, because my father was a plumber’.

He went on to say that he must be a “different father” to each of his offspring as they differ so much in age.
The oldest is in his fifties. They are very proud of me and I am very proud of them.’
He has two sons with his third wife Penny, Alastair, as well as 11-year-old son Aiden. The singer is also the father of Kimberly, 43, Sean, 42, Ruby, 35, Renee, 30 and Liam, 28, as well as 59-year-old Sarah.
