Colorado Rockies left fielder Jurickson Profar left the game against Los Angeles on Sunday with a twisted left knee after running into the wall while making a catch to end the second inning of an 8-3 loss to the Dodgers.
Profar made an impressive play on a sharp line drive that was hit by Mookie Betts’, but in doing so he also crashed hard into the long section of the left field wall with a mesh cover over a video sign at Dodger Stadium.
This isn’t the first visiting player to be injured this year by that same section of the Dodgers’ outfield wall while making a great catch.
New York Yankees slugger Aaron Judge missed nearly seven weeks of the season with a big toe injury after slamming his foot on the concrete floor under the door of the Dodgers’ bullpen on June 3.
After being injured, Profar lay on the warning track for at least two minutes before being helped by medical staff and escorted to the nearby Rockies bullpen.

He needed help to walk, and the Rockies confirmed two innings later that Profar had injured his left knee.
The 30-year-old outfielder will be re-evaluated after the Rockies return home Sunday-evening.
Profar’s play might have saved two runs for Colorado, which had already given up two runs in the second.
Cole Tucker pinch-hit for Profar in the third inning to bring in an RBI single.
Tucker took over in right field later in the inning, with Nolan Jones sliding left, and Tucker made an error that allowed a run from Los Angeles to score.
Profar dropped a deep drive from Freddie Freeman in the Rockies’ loss to Los Angeles on Friday night, extending the Dodgers’ four-run rally in the sixth.
