Rockdale: Tense moment cops make a dramatic arrest at a busy petrol station pinning a young women to the ground
Confronting footage has captured the moment a man and woman were arrested at a busy petrol station over a suspected stolen car.
Video shows a young woman being pinned to the ground by several police officers with her hands behind her back at around 2.50pm on Tuesday at a busy petrol station on Railway Street, Rockdale, in Sydney’s south-west.
The woman, dressed in a tank top and shorts, can be heard yelling at a man who is also being restrained by other officers.

She shouts “baby” and “please” several times during the tense incident.
At one point, one of the officers puts a knee on her back as she lies flat on the concrete.
It also shows a man pinned to the ground before struggling to his feet and then falling over again as police try to restrain him.
Stunned onlookers gathered on the sidewalk near the gas station entrance as the sirens of several police cars blared in the background.
The man and woman were then taken to Kogarah Police Station.
