Rochelle Humes kicks off her This Morning stint
Rochelle Humes took to Instagram Monday morning to reveal she was willing to “fill her girl’s chair,” during Holly Willoughby’s absence.
On Sunday, tough Holly, 42, announced she was suffering from shingles so wouldn’t be sitting on the couch – where her co-host Phillip Schofield, 61, is returning after his pedophile brother’s trial of sexual assault.
He will appear on the bench for the first time since the conviction of his pedophile brother. He hasn’t been on TV since Timothy Schofield went on trial at the end of March and was later convicted of his morbid crimes.
And Rochelle took to Instagram to share a behind-the-scenes shot at ITV’s studios, declaring, ‘I’m taking care of my girl Holly Willoughby’s chair this week’. Until Sunday, Alison Hammond and Joel Dommett had taken Phillip’s place.
This morning’s Instagram post on Monday’s episode of the magazine show read, “Phillip and Rochelle have a packed show…and a very special live announcement from Alison Hammond at noon.”

Following his conviction, Phillip said he now has no brother after his brother, who is seven years his junior, was convicted of 11 sex offenses against a boy, including two for sexual activity with a child, in a case where the star gave evidence .
In a written statement, the broadcaster said his brother had called him in an agitated and upset state and that Mr Schofield had invited him to drive to his London home for a meal.
Phillip said Timothy later said “you’re going to hate me for what I’m about to say” before confessing to masturbating with the boy while watching porn.
The This Morning presenter exploded with anger and told him: “You have to stop, just never do it again,” the jury heard. Mr Schofield insists he had no knowledge of any criminal behavior and that the boy was of age at the time.

Holly took to her Instagram Stories on Sunday to reveal that her health issues will delay her return to ITV’s main daytime programme.
She wrote, “Hello… Just to let you know I may be gone for the rest of the week because I have shingles… I’ll be back as soon as I’m better. Big love, Holly xxx.”
Shingles is a painful condition caused by the same virus that causes chickenpox. Anyone can get it, but it is most common in older people.
A source told The Mirror that Phillip’s management company had previously revealed that they wanted him back on screen as soon as possible.
They said, “YMU’s view was the sooner Phillip got back the better.
“But ITV offered him the chance to have more free time. They thought a longer break would benefit him as he has been in trouble at certain points in recent weeks. They were also curious how the audience reacted to other presenters.
“ITV has a lot of talent and this was a good opportunity to test people. It is possible that there will be a shake-up in the future, and experiments like this are very useful.’

Three months later, after the victim spoke to a counselor, his abuser was arrested. He was convicted of a campaign of sexual abuse between October 2016 and October 2019 following a trial at Exeter Crown Court earlier this month.
In a statement from his lawyer after the conviction, Phillip Schofield said: ‘My overwhelming concern is and always has been for the well-being of the victim and his family. I hope their privacy is now respected.’
He continued, “If my brother had ever confessed to me of a crime, I would have acted immediately to protect the victim and their family. These are vile crimes and I welcome the convictions. As far as I’m concerned, I don’t have a brother anymore.’
