Zachary Williams shared a heartfelt tribute to his father Robin Williams on Friday, August 11, nine years since his tragic death at the age of 63.
On social media, the eldest of the comedian’s three adult children used a bit of humor when he shared a photo of his dad waving to fans on the tennis court.
“Dad, on the 9th anniversary of your passing, I remember you for your most outstanding fashion choices,” the 40-year-old joked when the photo showed the legendary comedian rocking a bizarre graphic tee and printed cargo shorts.
Zachary added, “These days are always hard and I love remembering you because you are so very, very YOU. Love you a lot!’
As well as being praised for his comedic prowess, Robin was often teased for his eccentric style, almost never making it into the Best Dressed category.

Last month, Zachary, a businessman, financial investor, and actor, remembered his father on July 21, on what would have been his 72nd birthday.
Happy 72nd Dad! I remembered how much I used to love that look you gave,” he wrote in the caption.
“That look with a mischievous, loving grin that your friends and loved ones knew so well. Cheerful and curious and wonderful. Miss you and love you forever!’
He shared an example of that look by posting a photo of Robin shooting a scene from his popular war comedy, Good Morning Vietnam (1987).
Zak’s sister Zelda, 34, who calls her father “Poppo,” paid tribute to Robin on his birthday by posting a photo of him holding a sign during a protest during New York’s 2007 SAG-WGA strike.
“Happy birthday to Poppo, who surely today and always would have fought for the good fight for art and artists,” Zelda wrote.
For Father’s Day this past June 18, Zachary thanked his dad for teaching him a thing or two about “courage and compassion,” along with a few other life lessons, in the caption of two photos showing him in Good Will Hunting (1997) and The Bird Cage (1996).
“To all the dads who go above and beyond for their loved ones, thank you for all you do,” the proud son wrote before personalizing his message. “Dad, I am thinking of you especially for your courage and compassion today. Thank you for helping me learn how to be kind to myself as a first step in standing up for others. Happy Father’s Day, love you forever!’
The Oscar-winning actor shared Zak with his first wife Valerie Velardie, whom he married in 1978 and eventually divorced just over 10 years later in 1988.
Zelda and brother Cody, 31, are children from his second marriage to Marsha Garces Williams (née Marsha Lynn Garces) whom he married in 1989 and divorced in 2010.
Unique Style: The actor and comedian was often teased for his eccentric style, which he proudly showed off during red carpet appearances and photo shoots; seen in 1996 and 1999

In his later years, Williams married Susan Schneider in 2011 and they remained together until his death.
The Good Will Hunting actor committed suicide at his home in Paradise Cay, California, in 2014 after being misdiagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.
An autopsy shortly after his death revealed that he was living with undiagnosed Lewy body disease, a form of progressive dementia.
Lewy body dementia is the second most common form of dementia after Alzheimer’s disease, according to the Mayo clinic.
Protein deposits called Lewy bodies develop in nerve cells in the brain. The protein deposits affect brain regions involved in thinking, memory and movement.
