NORTHERNER – 2.00 SOL CAYO (nap); 3.45 Arantes Nascimento (nb)

STEVE RYDER-ROBIN GOODFELLOW

The Towton Novices’ Chase at Ffos Las (1:15) is the highlight of the day and looks like a good opportunity for CHERIE D’AM (NB) to record her second success over fences.

She was a close third on her return to Carlisle and was an impressive seven-length winner at Warwick last time on this intermediate trip.

As she received £7 from her main market rival Handstands, she should follow up that win.

Later at 2:58, ROSCAHILL (NAP) should extend his winning streak to four on an opening handicap of 120.

Despite his very unique galloping style, the progressive six-year-old has comfortably won all three of his career starts to date, including his previous two at this track, and he should relish this step back to the 5k.

WIZARD OF OPPORTUNITIES – CHRIS BAKER

2.00 NEW CASTLE

SOL CAYO last month on the course and today’s distance, leaving seven rivals behind him. That extended his All-Weather record to an impressive two wins and two seconds after just five starts.

2.40 CHELMSFORD

APIARIST (nap) put in some decent efforts on the pitch before making a winning All-Weather debut at Newcastle last month. He followed a close second in class two and is open to further improvement.

7.00 WOLVERHAMPTON

CINQUE VERDE has won five of her twelve starts on artificial turf, four of which last year. She returns from a break today, but continues fresh.
