Roberto Firmino shared on his Instagram his grief at being left out of Brazil’s World Cup squad, saying “it wasn’t what he had dreamed of or imagined”.
The Liverpool striker, who has 55 caps for Brazil, has been a notable absentee from Tite’s 26-man World Cup touring squad, with younger stars Gabriel Jesus, Gabriel Martinelli, Antony and Raphinha all getting the call over the veteran striker.
The 31-year-old was understandably heartbroken by the punch and took to Instagram to share his anger at not making the squad, but thanked the fans who have supported him.

The Brazilian wrote a post on Instagram to express his sadness that he was not chosen
“I’m stopping by to say thank you for all the kind messages,” the Liverpool attacker wrote on social media.
“The World Cup is a dream for every player and it would be no different for me. Yesterday it didn’t go as I imagined or dreamed for my life, but I can look back and be thankful to God for already allowing me to live that dream.”
Despite scoring seven goals for his national team, including a goal against Mexico in the 2018 World Cup, it seems that Tite is looking for more youth than experience this year. age of 25.
