Roberto Firmino has agreed a transfer to Barcelona when his contract with Liverpool expires in June.

It will end his glittering eight-year stay at Anfield, where he is no longer a regular starter in Jürgen Klopp’s side.

He has won the Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup and Club World Cup since moving from Hoffenheim in 2015 for £29 million.

Klopp has made it clear that he would have liked to keep 31-year-old Firmino, but the Brazilian has decided to move on to a new challenge.

He has suffered a hamstring injury and will miss the next three games, but Klopp remains hopeful that he can return before the end of the season.

New signings Darwin Nunez and Cody Gakpo, from Benfica and PSV respectively, have moved Firmino further from the starting line-up.

Fan favorite Firmino scored 109 goals in 360 appearances for Liverpool.

He can expect an emotional farewell after the last home game of the season, against Aston Villa on May 20.
