Robert Irwin shares his sadness after revealing another heartbreaking split – following shock breakup with Rorie Buckey
Robert Irwin has shared his heartbreak after saying goodbye to South Africa.
Taking to Instagram, the 20-year-old posted a photo gallery from his time in South Africa while hosting the reality series I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!
In his caption he wrote: ‘Adventures in South Africa… so sad to leave this place but can’t WAIT to come back soon.’
The Wildlife Warrior – who split from girlfriend Rorie Buckey earlier this year – was joined by his mother Terri, 59, Australia Zoo General Manager Luke Reavley and his husband Mitch while filming in the jungle.
Robert also shared several clips of his close-up encounters with native animals.

Channel 10 has confirmed that Robert Irwin will return as co-host for the 2025 season of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!
Speaking to Ny Breaking Australia, a Channel 10 spokesperson recently vehemently denied reports suggesting Irwin’s tenure at the network could end.
‘What a lot of crocodiles! We’ve heard a lot of furphys over the last ten seasons, but media reports that Robert is no longer hosting I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! take the cake and are completely fake,” they said in a statement.
‘We’ve just had an excellent season and can’t wait to do it all again next year.’

The Woman’s Day report, which hinted at a possible return to rival network Seven, was quickly quashed by our source within Channel 10.
An insider at the network praised the naturalist for his recent hosting gig.
“Robert’s easy and flawless live TV skills won the nation. But contrary to reports, his career at Ten is far from over; Robert will definitely stay with us,” they said.
‘Robert was an absolute treasure on the show. His wildlife expertise and genuine charm have resonated with viewers, and we’re thrilled to have him back.”
