Robert Irwin shared a poignant tribute to his late father Steve on Friday.

On Friday’s edition of Sunrise, the 19-year-old discussed his father’s lasting legacy with presenters Nat Barr and Matt Shirvington.

“I think what strikes me every day is how alive my father’s message and legacy really is, and I don’t think that will ever really go away,” he said.

“The amount of time, effort, love, blood, sweat and tears he put into his message, as well as to our family, is something we will take away and live on forever.”

Robert also said that he feels his father’s spirit within himself.
