Robert Irwin reveals his favourite holiday spots in Australia – after teasing reality television comeback

Robert Irwin has a deep love for his home country.

And the 20-year-old conservationist has revealed his two favorite holiday destinations in Australia.

The Wildlife Warrior said he likes to go to Far North Queensland or Tasmania to relax.

“I know what you’re thinking – two of the most opposite places, but they both have such a rugged and raw natural beauty,” he shared news.com.au this week.

When in Tasmania he enjoys visiting Cradle Mountain, an iconic place full of natural beauty.

‘There are so many beautiful walks and incredibly friendly wildlife,’ Robert explained.

‘I also enjoy the Tasman Peninsula, Launceston, Swansea and the beautiful Tarkine Wilderness, to name just a few places.’

In Far North Queensland he enjoys visiting the mangroves and estuaries, and taking various mountain bike trails.

“A good distance from the waterfront of course,” he joked, referring to the many crocodiles in the area.

This past week, Robert posted on Instagram a humorous video showing himself in bed.

Robert, dressed in his Australia Zoo khakis, opened his eyes and asked the camera, “Do you ever have that strange feeling when you wake up that you’re being watched?”

He then looked through his bedroom, showing an operator, a cameraman and several other film crew members in the room with him.

The caption features the newly minted I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! host wrote: ‘Tell me you’re doing reality TV without telling me. And yes… I sleep in my khakis.”

“I also enjoy the Tasman Peninsula, Launceston, Swansea and the breathtaking Tarkine Wilderness, to name a few places,” he said. Pictured: the Tasmanian coastline

Followers were excited about the prospect of a new season of reality show Crikey! It’s The Irwins that Robert seemed to be teasing in the clip.

The reality show, which followed Robert, his mother Terri and sister Bindi as they worked at the Australia Zoo, premiered on Animal Planet in 2018, with its fourth season ending in 2022.

‘Please be a new season of Crikey! It’s the Irwins!’ wrote one fan.

“Ahhh yes, the only reality TV I want to waste my life on,” wrote another.

‘A new season of Crikey It’s the Irwin’s???? Finally!!!’ said someone else.
