Robert Irwin rescues a carpet python snake after it became entangled in Coca-Cola bottles in a vending machine: ‘This was a first for me’
Robert Irwin achieved a first in his career as a conservationist when he rescued a python snake that was trapped in a vending machine.
The snake was bizarrely captured behind several bottles of Coca-Cola in an outdoor vending machine.
Fortunately, the 19-year-old son of the late Steve ‘The Crocodile Hunter’ Irwin came to the rescue and had the carpet python safely released.
The Wildlife Warrior posted to TikTok on Friday, documenting his journey helping the snake get out of the regulator.
“I just got a call that there’s a carpet python in a vending machine, so this is a first,” Robert said as he drove his truck.

Robert wore his Australia Zoo uniform and pointed out exactly where the snake was hiding in the machine.
“What we don’t want is for him to get wired up,” he said as he devised a plan to free the python.
“We have to pull him up at the front, we don’t want to upset him too much because we want him to come out nice and smooth.”

It seemed that the interlocutor needed only a few seconds to free the snake.
As he held the slimy brown snake in his arms, Robert said, “This is how you get a carpet python out of a vending machine.”
While the Queensland resident was thrilled to free the snake, he said it is certainly not the first time the snake has found itself in awkward positions.
“This guy clearly has a tendency to get into strange situations,” he said.
“Because he’s missing the end of his tail, and that’s an old injury from a long time ago.”
Looking at the menacing snake, Robert added, “We’ll move this guy and stop going into vending machines, buddy.”

Fans of the interlocutor were fascinated by the video and received more than 2,000 comments.
One person jokingly wrote: “His friends won’t believe him when he says he met Robert Irwin,” followed by a laughing emoji.
While another said: ‘Robert, I think he wanted to have a Coke (I love that you’re carrying on your dad’s legacy. RIP STEVE IRWIN).
And a third commented: ‘Imagine calling animal control and Robert Irwin shows up…’
