Robert Irwin gushes over sister Bindi as he calls her a ‘gift to the world’ on The Project and it turns viewers off: ‘Nothing will top this level of cringe’

Robert and Bindi Irwin were guests on The Sunday Project this weekend and they couldn’t stop complimenting each other.

The conversation began with Bindi enthusiastically declaring that her brother was the best dressed of the Irwins and congratulating him on his blossoming television career.

“I’m so happy, so excited that Robert has taken up the torch. I really love sharing our message of conservation. It’s really beautiful that Robert is doing what he’s doing,” the 25-year-old said.

Bindi continued, “Robert, here’s the thing. You’re the fashionable Irwin. So someone has to be in front of the camera. Some fashion sense.

“Jeez, look at the Irwin timeline here, gosh. Seriously. I’m so proud of you.”

Robert was moved, then went on his own tirade about how proud he is of his sister, who just launched her new children’s book, You Are a Wildlife Warrior!

“You worked on this book while so openly struggling with your endometriosis problem,” the 20-year-old enthused.

“You’ve come out the other side as a continuing advocate for endo and the natural world. This is a gift to the world. To the younger generations.

“Thank you for always approaching everything with such a sense of selflessness and absolute courage. You are truly amazing, Bindi.”

While the couple was moved by their public displays of gratitude and brotherly pride, not everyone who saw it at home could appreciate it.

Several people shared their thoughts on the social media platform X, indicating that they found the brother-sister love relationship a bit too saccharine.

“Nothing beats this level of cringe, Irwin kids telling each other how great they are. Puke,” one person commented.

Another viewer sitting at home commented: ‘I can’t stand two over the top Irwins, I’m leaving here!’

“Double annoyance,” said another, while someone else posted: “When is this going to stop?”

Bindi announced the release of her first children’s book earlier this year.

You Are a Wildlife Warrior! will be available in the US and Australia on February 4, 2025.
