Robert Downey Jr. took to Instagram on Sunday to celebrate his wedding anniversary.

The 57-year-old Iron Man actor, who recently opened up about his drug-addicted past, shared two photos of him and his wife Susan Downey, 49, writing, “18 years old, love still blooming!!”

The old couple recreated their wedding day photo of Robert bumping into his bride as she smiled.

The original snapshot showed Susan, a film producer, wearing a plunging white dress and sheer veil while holding a white and lavender bouquet.

In the new version, the entertainer wore a yellow shirt and Mrs. Downey held a bunch of sunflowers.

Robert also used his Instagram platform earlier this year to give his wife a shout-out on Valentine’s Day.

He uploaded a series of photobooth-style photos, in which the artist and his wife smiled and laughed in casual, intimate poses.

The two-time Oscar nominee wrote in the caption, “To she who lovingly tolerates my many pranks, I pledge my eternal love…”

One playful click showed Susan sitting in front of Robert as she flashed a wide grin and he made a weird, crumpled face as he stood behind her.

The post garnered more than four million likes from the movie star’s 57 million followers.

Susan, who met her future husband on the set of 2003’s Gothika, is believed to have helped turn his life around after multiple rehab and jail time.

But she declined to take credit for Downey Jr.’s recovery. in a December 2022 interview with The Hollywood reporter.

“If anyone has ever dealt with someone with an addiction, you know it has nothing to do with anyone else,” she said. ‘They must be ready. If you can be a small part of creating an alternate world for them that says, “Hey, I’m here. If you’re clean, great.”

“But there’s no other credit I’ll ever claim than saying, basically, ‘This is what needs to be done,’ or more importantly, ‘What can’t be done.’ But it’s all that person.’

In June, Robert talked about his time behind bars during an appearance on Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast.

He said of his time behind the prison in 1999, “You just felt the evil in the air, and that wasn’t a problem at all because it was like being in a really bad neighborhood.”

‘There was no possibility. There were only threats.’ He also called the Delano, California facility where he was located “the most dangerous place I’ve ever been in my life.”
