Robert De Niro and baby mama Tiffany Chen party at Cannes after welcoming newborn

Robert De Niro and his baby mama Tiffany Chen were spotted at the Cannes Film Festival on Tuesday after welcoming their first child together.

The Academy Award winner, 79 – whose latest movie Killers Of The Flower Moon debuted at the festival this week – and the martial arts instructor attended the Air Mail soiree.

He kept it low-key in a dark green polo shirt and black jacket, while Chen looked effortlessly elegant in a cream long cardigan.

The Raging Bull star shocked fans earlier this month when he confirmed he had fathered a seventh child and it was planned.

Chen, who is believed to be 45 years old, gave birth to the couple’s baby girl, Gia Virginia Chen-De Niro, on Thursday, April 6.

During Tuesday’s party, De Niro and his girlfriend split up briefly to mingle with the other guests.

He was photographed talking to Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav, former Vanity Fair editor Graydon Carter and photographer Jean Pigozzi.

De Niro and Chen made their first formal appearance together since the baby news on Saturday, May 20 at the Vanity Fair x Prada Party in Cap d’Antibes, France.

The Cape Fear actor gave more details about baby Gia, including her name and gender reveal, while speaking on the phone to CBS Mornings host Gayle King last week.

He revealed that Gia was born weighing 8 pounds, 6 ounces and the couple were “over the moon.”

“She was brought here by love,” Gayle told De Niro during their phone conversation.

The outlet also shared a photo of its adorable baby girl.

The iconic actor shocked the world when he revealed he “just had a baby” in an interview with ET Canada – after Tiffany was spotted with a baby bump in March.

The ET Canada reporter asked De Niro about his six children – to which he corrected them and said “seven.”

De Niro later explained to Gayle, “At that point I didn’t want to deny this baby.”

And while the news of the actor expanding his brood may have surprised fans, De Niro told Page Six he wasn’t surprised, saying, “How could you not plan things like that?”

De Niro shared his feelings about becoming a father again, saying, “I’m fine with it,” when Extra asked if he was excited. “I’m fine with it,” he added.

When asked if getting older will ever get easier, the taxi driver joked: “Never easier.”

The happy couple was photographed holding hands in July 2021, and in March this year, she appeared pregnant when she left Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica, California.

The Godfather actor has six other children; Drena, 51, and Raphael, 46, with ex-wife Diahnne Abbott, Elliot, 25, and Helen, 11, with ex-wife Grace Hightower, and twins Aaron and Julian, 27, with ex-girlfriend, Toukie Smith.

Tiffany and Robert are said to have first met in 2015 when they worked together on the film The Intern. The film also starred Anne Hathaway as a workaholic CEO, while Robert worked at her company as a senior intern.

Tiffany had a small role as a Tai Chi instructor helping Robert’s character.

Robert was spotted with Tiffany in August 2021 as they enjoyed a holiday together in the South of France.

The couple’s romance was evident as they were seen holding hands while sauntering in the sun and later seen kissing on a yacht.

They were also pictured together in New York in June and visited the Philbrook Museum of Art in Tulsa on July 31, in photos that surfaced on social media but were later deleted.

At the time, the Raging Bull actor was embroiled in a bitter divorce battle with his now ex-wife Grace Hightower.

In April 2022, a judge ruled that his ex-wife, 66, should receive $1 million annually and the couple would split the proceeds after selling their $20 million home.
