Robert De Niro, 80, ‘will never stand down’ from attacking Donald Trump despite facing FURY from his supporters – and is ‘confident’ his rants against ex-President won’t stop him finding work in Hollywood

Robert De Niro doesn’t care about Donald Trump’s “haters” spewing “vulgarities” at him — and isn’t worried that his absolute loyalty to President Joe Biden will keep him from getting more jobs at age 80.

The acclaimed movie star was mobbed by Trump’s loyalists earlier this week while delivering a speech against the former president outside the 77-year-old’s hush-money criminal trial in New York City.

Now a source has exclusively told DailyMail.com that Robert has no plans to ‘resign’ and will ‘continue to fight for his convictions’.

They said the Goodfellas alum is “more than confident” that his outspokenness will not affect his career.

“Robert will never relinquish his beliefs about Trump and will continue to fight for his beliefs,” the insider said.

“He is confident that he will not lose any jobs in the future.

“He’s done so much in Hollywood that if someone didn’t want him on a project because of his political beliefs, he wouldn’t want to be on set anyway.

“He is 80 years old, he has his beliefs and he is set in the way he lives his life. Not that anyone is, but no one should ever feel bad about making a career because they are happy with how it turned out and will continue to be.”

They added that Robert was not concerned about retaliation from MAGA fans, and that he thought “living in fear” would “in his eyes, lead to them winning.”

“He is not afraid that a Trump supporter will harm him. He doesn’t live in fear,” the source explains.

“Even if someone spews cruel vulgarities in his way or wants to harm him in any way, he will not be affected by that.

“He will challenge the haters, talk back and get his words out there. He will never fear for his well-being, [because] if he did that, in his eyes, it would result in them winning. He will never stop fighting for what he believes in.”

On Tuesday, Robert stood outside the courthouse and called Trump, 77, a “clown” and “coward” who wanted to “destroy the world.”

‘I love this city, I don’t want to destroy it. “Donald Trump wants to destroy not only the city, but the country, and ultimately he could destroy the world,” he said.

“We New Yorkers tolerated him when he was just another grubby real estate dealer masquerading as a major player.

‘A playboy who worms his way into the tabloids. A clown. But this city is quite accommodating.

“We make room for clowns, but not someone like Trump, who will ultimately run the country, that doesn’t work and we all know it.”

In the background, a group of Trump supporters could be heard chanting “F**k Joe Biden,” while another person shouted at the actor, “Your movies suck.”

Robert recalled how Trump managed to incite an angry mob to attack the Capitol on January 6.

“It shows Trump’s violence and reminds us that he will use violence against anyone who stands in the way of his delusions of grandeur and greed,” the actor added, referring to the incident.

‘But it is cowardly violence. Do you think Trump has ever thrown a punch or received one himself?

“This man who ran and hid in the White House bunker while there were protesters outside? Not really.

‘He doesn’t get any blood on his hands. No he does not. He orders the crowd to do his dirty work for him.”

Robert has spoken out against Trump several times in recent weeks. In early May, the Oscar winner compared the Republican presidential candidate to World War II tyrants Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini during an appearance on MSNBC’s The 11th Hour with Stephanie Ruhle.

He also called Trump a “sick person,” a “narcissist,” a “monster and a “stupid bully” during the interview.

Then a week later, he railed against Trump on The View, full of expletives, claiming that if he were re-elected he would “stay in the country.” [office] until he drops dead.”

He also lent his voice to a Biden campaign in a new ad that aired last week.

In it, Robert said the “unhinged” and “power-hungry” Trump had “snapped” after losing the 2020 race.

“From tweeting at midnight to drinking bleach, tear gassing citizens and staging a photo op, we knew Trump was out of control when he was president,” he claimed in the ad.

“Then he lost the 2020 election and he snapped. Now he’s on the run again, this time threatening to become a dictator to end the Constitution. Trump wants revenge, and he will do everything he can to get it.”

In response to Robert’s many statements against him, Trump called the actor “small” and “crazy” in a post on Truth Social.

“I never knew how small, both mentally and physically, the crazy former actor Robert De Niro was,” the ex-president said of the 6-foot-2 star.

Trump accused the 80-year-old of suffering from “an incurable case of TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME.”

“Robert, whose films, artistry and brand have depreciated greatly since he entered the political arena at the behest of corrupt Joe Biden, looked so pathetic and sad out there,” he added of Robert’s speech outside the courthouse.
