Robbie Williams’ father, Pete Conway, was rushed to hospital on Monday after suffering a painful fall.

The 72-year-old entertainer, who suffers from Parkinson’s disease, took to Twitter to share that he was in pain after the incident, which resulted in a fractured bone in his spine.

Admitting: “I’ve had better days,” he also shared two photos from the back of the ambulance while keeping his 13,100 followers up to date.

Explaining the injury, Pete wrote: ‘I had a fall yesterday and broke a bone in my spine…(yes it hurts)…and spent the whole day in hospital today. I’ve had better days.

While the veteran artist, who is also a professional singer like his son, added that Parkinson’s is a “nuisance” as he referenced his battle with the disease.

Pete shared a picture of the back of the ambulance with the paramedics who came to his rescue.

While the tweet also showed another of him in the hospital recovering with his face covered.

In 2020, Robbie revealed that his father had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s, as the couple went their separate ways due to the Covid-19 lockdown.

Speaking to The Mirror at the time, the Angels singer explained: “We have a lot of family problems at the moment. My dad has Parkinson’s, my mother-in-law who I love very much has a very big disease. We can’t reach them. My father is at thousands of kilometers away.

Robbie added: “My mum is a year shy of 80 and she’s isolated and I can see things spinning in her mind and her eyes.”
