Roadblock! The entrance to Paris Hilton grand Met Gala is blocked by angry protesters against climate change

  • The entrance to socialite Paris Hilton’s Met Gala was blocked by angry climate change protesters who sat and lay in front of her car
  • The protester held a sign in front of the billionaire’s car that read: ‘The 1% is killing the climate’
  • The heiress brushed off the delay and doused in a Marc Jacobs leather dress

The grand entrance to heiress Paris Hilton’s Met Gala was blocked by angry climate change protesters who lined up in front of her vehicle.

The 42-year-old Hilton attended the grand bash in New York City for the first time and brought the drama with her.

Angry protesters were seen in a video posted to Twitter blocking the socialite as they held a sign that read, “The 1% is killing the climate.”

Police attempted to lift the blockade as protesters chanted “We want it now” in response to a muffled call. It is unclear if any other guests have been blocked.

The minor disruption didn’t stop the billionaire from appearing on the red carpet, admiring a bare-shouldered leather dress.

Hilton arrived at the Gala with a smile and brushed off the delay.

She made her very first debut at the iconic event in a black dress created by Marc Jacobs and styled her look around the extravaganza dress code in honor of fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld.

Her long-sleeved off-the-shoulder dress was finished with a train and glittery platform soles. Hilton has styled an elegant floral bow around her neck.

The heiress’ chic look was topped off with a smokey eye makeup look that complemented her sleek, high ponytail.

The socialite prepared her nearly 24 million followers for her big arrival by reminiscing about her past with Lagerfeld, who passed away in 2019.

In a series of photos, Hilton showed herself smiling next to Lagerfeld, who served as the creative designer for Chanel and Fendi.

“Karl has always been a fashion inspiration to me,” Hilton wrote on Instagram. Such an icon and innovator. I love that he is the theme this year.

Hilton pampered herself in the run-up to the gala, treating herself to a lymphatic massage from Flavia Lavinia.

The heiress wasn’t the only one who indulged in self-care.

Kim Kardashian’s thoughtful daughter North West helped her mom de-stress ahead of New York’s biggest event.

The nine-year-old decorated her mother’s with white flowers and lit candles.

Meanwhile, Elle Fanning posed in her nightgown with her flaxen hair combed back as she held up a green smoothie. The star was wearing a face mask.

“Bottoms up Met,” she captioned the photo.
