Rita Ora turns head in a festive jacket and knee high boots as she arrives in NYC to co-host Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin Eve

Rita Ora continued to show off her bold sense of style as she arrived in New York on Sunday evening.

The 34-year-old singer was spotted in a statement black quilted coat with a red plaid lining as she headed to Times Square, where she will co-host Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin Eve with Ryan Seacrest.

The singer turned heads in the statement coat that she wore open over a black turtleneck dress and thigh-high leather wedge boots.

She kept her brunette locks neatly tied up and accessorized with simple silver hoop earrings.

For the evening, Rita wore a glamorous makeup palette with a hint of shimmer and added a pair of statement sunglasses to complete the look.

Ahead of her New Year’s Eve television appearance in the Big Apple, Rita kept fans updated on her goings-on and posted on her Facebook: SURPRISE!! I’m working double duty on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve! In addition to co-hosting in Times Square alongside Ryan Seacrest, I will also be performing. Be sure to tune in on New Year’s Eve at 8/7c on ABC!#RockinEve.

The outing comes after Rita hinted she was leaving The Masked Singer to pursue new music.

The pop star has stepped down from the ITV game show judging panel and has been replaced by Love Island host Maya Jama.

She has appeared alongside Davina McCall, Jonathan Ross and Mo Gilligan since the competition series began in 2020.

But now, while plugging in a haircare product, Rita revealed she will be going back to her roots next year as she prepares to hit the studio.

She wrote on Instagram: ‘What is your plan for 2025?

“My @typebea and music and being part of the coolest movies and spending time with family and friends and making the most of every moment. You?’

Rita’s latest album, titled You & I, was released in 2023 and she had a number of stand-ins for her on The Masked Singer while she was away.

The hit reality show sees celebrities don extravagant costumes to hide their identities as they perform classic pop songs.

If the judges fail to correctly guess a particular contestant, they will be declared the winner.

Earlier this year, McFly star Danny Jones reigned supreme, ahead of his more recent triumph on I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here!

Upon joining, Maya said: “I’m such a fan of Masked Singer, so joining the panel alongside Davina, Jonathan and Mo – and of course working with Joel – is going to be so much fun!

“I can’t wait to find out who’s underneath all those incredible costumes, experience the atmosphere of their performances and get front row seats to the unmaskings.”

Maya has been a host of Love Island since 2023 and her third series aired this summer.

Joel Dommett is set to return as host of the hit show, which first hit screens in 2020 and sees celebrities singing in disguise before the guessing begins.

It has since reached a whopping 37 million viewers who tuned in to guess who is hiding behind the mask.
