Rita Ora shows off her quirky sense of style in unique grey coat with glitzy detailing before co-hosting Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve

Rita Ora opted for quirky attire as she hit New York's Times Square ahead of her performance on Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest on Sunday.

The 33-year-old singer wore a gray coat that reached almost to the floor and was decorated with numerous bejeweled silver bobbles.

She dressed warmly from the cold winter weather and wore a gray teddy snood over her head.

The star completed her look by tying her ensemble at the waist with a thick black belt, while wearing a pair of chunky boots in the same color.

Pop star Rita wore dark sunglasses and was seen holding a microphone as she chatted to the crowd outside in the Big Apple ahead of her television appearance on New Year's Eve.

Rita cut a chic figure as she posed with Ryan Seacrest at brunch in New York on Friday, ahead of their appearance as co-hosts of Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve show.

The star showed off her quirky sense of style as she rocked a statement outfit the Rockin' Eve Big Ball Brunch on New Year's Eve at EDITION: Times Square.

She made sure to turn heads in a vibrant yellow jacket that was dramatically trimmed with black faux fur around the collar and cuffs.

Rita gave herself a few extra inches with a pair of black heeled boots and completed her ensemble with a glamorous makeup palette.

She was joined by American media personality Ryan, 49, who cut a smart figure in black trousers and a dark jacket, teamed with brown suit shoes.

Rita has flown to New York to host New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan, who has run the show for 18 years.

Her trips to the United States for the annual bash come after she spent Christmas with her husband Taika Waititi in New Zealand.

She took to Instagram to give fans an insight into her festive celebrations as she shared some beautiful snaps on Christmas Day.

In the photos, Rita looked stunning in a figure-hugging red mini dress, which she teamed with matching tights and Mary Jane shoes.

She wrote to her fans: 'Merry Christmas! Love and happiness to you all! On to 2024!'

The star has swapped the British winter for a much sunnier climate as she made the most of the summer months in New Zealand with her husband Taika.

She explored the local sights as she took a scenic walk on Boxing Day and shared photos from the outing.

She joked in the caption that in a clip of her dancing and singing on the wet sand dunes, she had tried to recreate the iconic video for Coldplay's 2000 hit Yellow.

'Happy Boxing Day from me and some foggy beach content, sand dunes and nature hunaaayyy I hope you all had a great Christmas!' wrote Rita.

'Ps. I tried to recreate Coldplay's yellow video by realizing I needed more rain and a yellow raincoat.'

It comes after the star revealed she is taking some time away from music as she recently turned her attention to a different career prospect.

Rita has spent time in her home country of Kosovo and has decided to put her songwriting aside while she explores a new career direction: documentary filmmaking.

The hitmaker has been working with the same team behind the latest Nirvana film as she delves into a project focusing on the youth culture of her home country.

Rita was born in Kosovo's capital Pristina in 1990, but moved to Britain with her parents.In 1991. Rita attended the Sylvia Young Theater School in London, where she soon set her sights on becoming a singer.
