Rita Ora makes a VERY racy quip about her husband Taika Waititi as she discusses marriage

Rita Ora made a cheeky joke about her husband Taika Waititi during an appearance on This Morning on Tuesday.

The singer, 32, tied the knot with the Oscar-winning director, 47, last summer and says she’s still pinching herself a year later.

Rita made a sexual innuendo when she told hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary, “It’s nice to be with someone who really stimulates me mentally, respectfully… everyone, let’s not go there.”

The singer spoke about her marriage when she said, ‘I have a husband! Can you believe it? It’s so weird working with him, but so much fun. He really is a great person.

“A lot of people say we look alike, see that? My friends say so, I didn’t do that on purpose.

“He has a really great knowledge of both music and film and books. He just expanded my creativity in a natural way, for which I am grateful.”

Rita was asked why she took such a long break from music after You and I was released on Friday.

She said, ‘I just don’t force it. I dug deep into my songwriting and it felt good to bring it out into the world again.

‘When I make music, I really want to think about it. We spent two years going through my journal and I’ve never really been a diarist, but someone told me to try. I do it every day, a little bit and now we’re there.’

On the show, Rita surprised Alison and Dermot when she spontaneously appeared on the catwalk during the fashion segment.

The singer asked: ‘what do you think? Is this too dark for summer?’

Rita continues: ‘This is actually an old song, I got this from my mother’s closet. I wanted to show some knee, but not too much. I’m doing an album promotion and wanted to keep it classy for this morning, so surprise.’

Earlier in the day, Rita shared on Instagram a glimpse of her surprise trip to Mallorca to perform for the cast of Love Island 2023.

The singer shared a selection of snaps showing off plenty of underboob and her toned abs in a Miu Miu black crochet bra and pleated orange and khaki miniskirt.

Rita paired the look with white Dior lace-up boots and a cream Miu Miu handbag.

The singer appeared in her element as she caused a storm for the cameras in the sassy outfit, before sharing a sneak peek at the preparations for her performance.

Accompanied by the Love Island crew, a photo showed Rita in a white mini dress and cowboy boots as the crew filmed at a luxury pool.

Rita wrote: ‘See you @loveisland, I’ll play some new songs from my album and surprise the islanders! #dreammade Love the show, guilty pleasure forever!

The singer appears on the show to perform a set for the Islanders, during which she will sing the new single ‘Praising You’, in line with the release of her third studio album ‘You and I’.

The Love Island contestants would have “absolutely lost their way” when Rita performed for them.

She said to Alison and Dermot, “Guys, my dream came true. I sing some songs, surprise them, in peak heat by the way, it’s so hot there I was sweating in places I didn’t know I could sweat. And then… I can’t tell you what happens, but I was so excited to be there.”

“They all asked what it looks like on the outside. I love Jess, she’s a really good girl. But yes, they all wanted to know what it was like and I wasn’t allowed to say anything.’

The star compared this album – which was released on Friday – to a ‘diary’ and has co-written every song.

Speaking of her new music, Rita said, “The ‘You’ in You & I represents more than just the man I love.

“It’s my mom, my friends, my fans, and in some ways it represents the relationship I have with myself.”

“This album has been like my diary for the past two years and I’m so glad you’re finally getting to hear it.”

Rita’s appearance comes after Ne-Yo performed at the Love Island mansion earlier in the 10th series.

The So Sick hitmaker put on a pulse-pounding performance, but there was a twist to it.

After his set, he took the girls outside for a selfie, but a car pulled up with “Casa VIPs” written on the side.

Ne-Yo then said to the ladies, “I have a surprise for you… that car over there.”

The girls then jumped in and headed to the second villa, Casa Amor, to meet six new guys.

Back at the main villa, the boys were stunned when they realized their ladies had left for Casa.

But they were soon joined by six ladies, including the return of previously dumped contestant Molly Marsh, who subsequently reconciled with Zachariah Noble.
